Job summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College is seeking to hire a temporary/part-time Admissions Coordinator. This position provides clerical support to evaluate applications, enter admissions data, and share admissions decisions to serve the goal of recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented student body.

The role supports the START Center, assists with placement testing, advises students on placement and enrollment, and maintains accurate records in a fast-paced environment requiring

Qualifications

• Associates degree and three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of computer systems and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Clear written/verbal communication and ability to explain admissions policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide admissions assistance to prospective students and applicants who contact or walk into the START Center.
• Advise students about placement and assist with placement testing.
• Provide academic advising and enrollment services to new and non-credential students.
• Provide assistance to current and potential students, parents, school counselors, and other personnel regarding admissions policies and applications status.
• All other duties as assigned.
