Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
• Knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family members and/or collateral sources to assure intake criteria are met.
• Reviews prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
• Generates, guides, and leads discussions with referral sources for client support, conflict resolution and business development with other treatment and healthcare professionals.
• Responds to and addresses needs of referred clients.
• Maintains CRM documentation of activities, contacts, and appointments.
• Verifies insurance benefits for private admissions.
