Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clinician to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments, crisis intervention, and initial contacts with referral sources and potential patients. You will coordinate the intake process, determine level of care, and facilitate admission while communicating with families, referral sources and unit staff.

The ideal candidate has prior intake and crisis intervention experience with psychiatric populations, a nursing license or a Master's

Qualifications

  • Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population is required.
  • RN or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field is required.
  • BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a drug test
  • Successfully pass national background check
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior

Minimum Position Requirements
  • Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required preferably in an inpatient setting
  • Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required
  • BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
