Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking a licensed mental health professional to lead group therapy for Acute or Residential Child/Adolescent and Adult patients. Under supervision of the Clinical Services Director, you will implement an evidence-based group therapy curriculum and complete documentation within established timeframes.

You will design, structure, and deliver group therapy services to meet patient and facility needs, collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, and other therapists

Qualifications

  • Licensed Masters level therapist or social worker, or under supervision for license.
  • LCSW preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Drug test required.
  • Background check required.
  • Physical agility to manage patients.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the Therapist primary role will be to conduct group therapy to meet caseload requirements for Acute or Residential Child/Adolescent and/or Adult patients.

Responsible for developing and/or utilizing an evidenced based group therapy curriculum and completing documentation within established time frames and formats.

Responsible for design, structure, and implementation of group therapy services to best meet the needs of patients and facility.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 206-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, gym, outdoor courtyard and playground.
