Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Licensed Group Therapist to conduct group therapy for acute/residential youth and adult patients under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director. You will develop and utilize an evidence-based group therapy curriculum and complete documentation within required timeframes to support treatment plans.

The role is full-time (40 hr/wk) and involves designing, structuring, and implementing group therapy services to best meet patient

Qualifications

• Licensed Masters Level Therapist or Social Worker; licensure supervision required.
• LCSW preferred.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Drug test required.
• National background check required.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent or aggressive behavior.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the Licensed Group Therapist primary role will be to conduct group therapy to meet caseload requirements for Acute or Residential Child/Adolescent and/or Adult patients. Responsible for developing and/or utilizing an evidenced based group therapy curriculum and completing documentation within established time frames and formats. Responsible for design, structure, and implementation of group therapy services to best meet the needs of patients and facility

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients.
