Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clinician to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments and crisis interventions, coordinate referrals and intake, and determine appropriate levels of care to facilitate admissions. The role requires RN or a Master’s in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work, with BSN or licensure eligibility for LCSW/LPC/LMFT preferred.

Responsibilities

Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in‑person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

Minimum Position Requirements

• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required preferably in an inpatient setting
• Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required
• BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5‑17. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self‑acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Qualifications
