Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital seeks an Admissions Clinician to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments, crisis intervention, and manage the intake process for referrals and potential patients.

The role requires RN licensure or a Master’s in Counseling/Psychology/Social Work, with strong communication and leadership skills, and experience in psychiatric settings.

Qualifications

  • Prior intake, assessment and crisis intervention experience with psychiatric patients.
  • RN or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work required.
  • BSN or licensure eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful drug test and background check required.
  • Strong computer and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.

Responsibilities

The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

  • Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required
  • BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
