Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive psychiatric care for residents on adult and youth units. You will perform assessments, implement and monitor treatment plans, document care, administer medications, and educate residents and families under CNO supervision.

The RN will supervise Mental Health Techs and LPN staff, ensuring a safe environment and adherence to ANA standards.

Qualifications

Valid Oklahoma RN license required.
CPR certification preferred.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
BSN or Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Successfully complete a drug test.
Successfully pass a national background check.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
Strong Computer skills.
Excellent Communication skills.
Strong Leadership skills.
Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.
Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste.

The Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides physical assessments of residents, implements resident's treatment plan, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for residents and families. The RN supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPN staff, and assures that all residents are maintained in a safe environment. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.
