Austen Riggs Center (ARC) is seeking an Admissions Clinician to guide prospective patients, families, and referring clinicians through the admissions process. You will conduct intake interviews, gather clinical information, and help determine fit for ARC’s setting.

The role emphasizes clear information about treatment approaches, open setting, and admission logistics, with a focus on confidentiality, compassion, and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science, nursing, social work, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience or experience in a psychiatric treatment setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and referrals.

Responsabilités

• Engage prospective patients, families, and referring clinicians in the admission process to assess clinical fit.
• Gather complete clinical, medical, and financial information to support admission decisions.
• Conduct and document pre-admission contacts and intake interviews.
• Coordinate the pre-admission process and schedule admissions consultations.
• Lead patient and family tours of the facility.
• Facilitate day-of-admission experience for patients and families.
