The Austen Riggs Center (ARC) is seeking an Admissions Clinician to guide prospective patients and families through the admissions process in Stockbridge, MA. You will serve as the first contact, providing clear information about ARC’s treatment approach and open setting environment.

Responsibilities include pre-admission intake interviews, collecting collateral information, coordinating admissions, tours, and day-of-admission experiences, plus outreach activities with referrals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, nursing, social work, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience or experience in a psychiatric treatment setting.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor helping patients and families feel welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; convey information clearly and compassionately.

Responsabilidades

• Engage prospective patients, family members, and referring clinicians in the admission process to assess clinical fit and appropriateness for ARC’s setting.
• Gather complete clinical, medical, and financial information to support admission decision-making.
• Conduct and document pre-admission contacts, conversations, and intake interviews with accuracy and professionalism.
• Manage and coordinate the pre-admission process, including scheduling admissions consultations.
• Coordinate and lead patient and family tours of the facility.
• Facilitate the day-of-admission experience for patients and families, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming transition.
• Participate in outreach efforts, including referral relations meetings, events, and occasional travel related to outreach activities.
