Job summary

Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, MA seeks an Admissions Clinician to guide prospective patients and families from inquiry to admission. This full-time clerical role requires strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and compassionate organization to support open-setting treatment and admission decisions.

You will conduct pre-admission interviews, gather collateral information, and coordinate the admissions process while engaging with referring clinicians and families with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, nursing, social work, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced clinical insight.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience or psychiatric setting exposure.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Guide prospective patients and families through the admissions process.
• Conduct pre-admission interviews and gather clinical information.
• Coordinate pre-admission processes including scheduling admissions.
• Lead patient and family tours of the facility and support a smooth admission.
• Engage in outreach activities and maintain confidential records.
