Job summary

The Groves Rehab and Healthcare Center in Independence, MO is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our admissions team. You will manage the transition for new residents, coordinate with the Business Office for financial verification, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Admissions Director, guiding families through the process, conducting tours, handling referrals, and ensuring all paperwork is complete to support a smooth admission.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in SNF/healthcare setting.
• Active LPN/RN license required.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong telephone and communication skills handling referrals and family inquiries.
• Knowledge of the managed care industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Admissions Director to obtain and assess referral information with complete clinical and financial details.
• Coordinate with Business Office to verify financial details prior to admission.
• Conduct facility tours and engage families to ensure commitment and satisfaction.
• Manage admission process, explain policies, ensure paperwork is complete, support smooth transition.
• Track and communicate status of referrals and upcoming admissions to staff.
• Notify Marketing Director of referral source concerns or issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and orient new residents to the facility.
• Support floor staff with resident needs as schedule allows.
