Job summary

Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center is seeking an AIT (Administrator in Training) to learn under an experienced Administrator and develop skills in facility operations, financial management, HR, customer service, and clinical operations in accordance with Life Care standards.

Location is in the Kansas City area (MO). Ideal candidate has leadership potential and a background in post-acute care, with a bachelor’s degree and regulatory knowledge. EOE.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) or more years' post-acute care experience preferred.
  • Read and interpret financial records and reports.
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and Life Care standards governing post-acute care facilities.
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies.
  • Competency in patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
  • Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete required compliance training.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility is compliant with all Federal & State regulations.
  • Ensure facility is clean and safe for patients, families, and staff.
  • Serve as effective representative for the company so the facility is viewed as a provider of choice in the community.
  • Ensure census goals are met.
  • Prepare and operate within annual budget (approved by RVP and DVP).
  • Effectively supervise team.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.

Job description

Position Summary:
The AIT Administrator in Training will learn under a seasoned, experienced Administrator to develop the skills and knowledge on overall facility operations to provide leadership in quality patient care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Key areas include: financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations. Will be expected to uphold policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team. Will learn budget management to meet facility needs and division goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Location: Kansas city/ Indpendece area, MO

You will be perfect for this position if you have great leadership skills with the desire to learn and develop before being able to get licensed as a nursing home administrator.

Experience

AIT Administrator in Training:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) or more years' successful post-acute care experiencepreferred

  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
