The Town of Los Gatos has one immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Technician to provide support for the Administrative Services Department that contains Finance, IT, and HR. The Administrative Technician would be responsible for providing support to the Directors of each of the Administrative Services Division. The HR office handles recruitments, benefits, workers' compensation, union agreements, files, employee communications and a variety of personnel transactions and special projects. This position will also be responsible to update the Human Resources website. This position requires strict confidentiality and the ability to handle a large volume of work with precise attention to detail.
We are seeking a candidate who is technology-oriented, with the ability to improve the efficiency of the Administrative Services team and distribution of information through web-based tools and applications. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is a must, along with the ability to work with a variety of databases including the Tyler Munis ERP System and OpenGov for purchasing projects and agreements. The position will also assist in the preparation of presentation materials, including PowerPoint and other platforms that incorporate visual and audio effects.
Three years of complex and varied administrative and technical support experience is required. College-level coursework or technical training or certification is highly desirable. Applicants with more years of experience and Human Resources background in the public sector will receive priority in the screening process.
