Cumberland County seeks an administrative/secretarial professional to handle varied office functions and serve as liaison between the department and other agencies. The starting salary is $19.06 per hour ($37,167 annually) based on experience; 75 hours in a 2-week period; position code CT3025.
Typical duties include processing transcript requests, supporting court scheduling, greeting the public, handling multi-line phones, and coordinating events. Hours and cross-training are noted.
To perform varied secretarial and administrative functions in a timely manner and to ensure efficient operation of department. To act as liaison between the assigned department and other County, State or Federal agencies and departments.

Work Hours: This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2 week pay period
Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.
Process Transcript requests; review and monitor FTR software for requests, verify accuracy of requests, correspond with requestor & transcriber, file completed transcripts with appropriate court office.
Back up for dependency court hearings for judges and hearing officers, along with scheduling court hearings and keeping updated calendar for judges and hearing officers.
Common Pleas Court Management System- Schedule court proceedings; generate hearing notices and other court forms; attend court as necessary.
Greet the general public, jurors, internal and external departments, and assist with procedural questions and inquiries.
Answer multiline phones, monitor office email inbox and court calendar inbox.
Coordination of special events (i.e.: Naturalization Court and Swearing in Ceremonies)
Contacting vendors for office equipment servicing and supplies for court department.
Submitting SROs to IMTO/Maintenance for court department.
Other duties as assigned.
Staff is cross trained, and reallocation of duties occur periodically based on changing needs and caseload.
High School graduate or equivalent.
3-5 years working experience in office administration.
Experience in the legal system preferred OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
