Job summary

Stephens Hospital in Maine seeks an Administrative Supervisor RN to assume clinical and administrative responsibility during assigned hours. You will provide direct supervision, assist staff, and act as a resource to all departments while supporting development and communication across teams.

Varied shifts. Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, RN license, and current BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required or must be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assume clinical and administrative responsibility for the hospital during specific hours.
• Provide direct supervision, assistance and act as a resource to staff across departments.
• Support development and communication to all departments; oversee varied shifts.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or in accordance with department guidelines.

3. Experience: One year demonstrated clinical competence and leadership or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
