LOCATION OF POSITION: Department of Maryland State Police, 51 – Frederick Barrack, 110 Airport Drive East, Frederick, MD 21701
This position supports all criminal investigative work for the Frederick Barrack, which has roughly 40 sworn personnel. The incumbent is responsible for all UCR statistics (monthly and annually), all expungement requests, court-ordered subpoenas for investigative records, and transmission of investigative files for trial at the request of investigators and prosecutors. This position handles logistics related to investigative files, including auditing, inspection, and retention. The person acts as a liaison for the Central Records Division and CJIS's audit and inspections for juvenile retention and Live Scan imaging.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience in administrative, clerical, clerical-technical, or secretarial work.
Notes: Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours or military service involving staff work for the required experience.
Employees may be required to operate a motor vehicle and must possess a valid Maryland driver’s license.
Candidates may need to provide their own transportation for certain duties.
Only candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be considered. Candidates will be categorized as BEST QUALIFIED, BETTER QUALIFIED, or QUALIFIED and remain eligible for at least one year. The process includes a review of education, training, experience, and possibly a physical exam, interview, background check, polygraph, and substance testing.
