Job Description

HFM BOCES Adult Literacy and Corrections Education has an anticipated vacancy for a full-time, 12-month Administrative Coordinator and is accepting applications.

The successful candidate will be results-driven and expected to demonstrate positive leadership and interpersonal skills with staff and students in dynamic programs.

Essential Functions

Manages programs for adults and out-of-school youth that include:

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalency (HSE), English as a Second Language (ESL), workforce readiness, and other programs
  • Budgets management in accordance with agency and legal requirements
  • Development, updating, monitoring, and reporting on multi-year plans and funding applications from various sources
  • Supervision of student data collection and reporting
  • Serves as the Title II representative on the Fulton-Montgomery-Schoharie Workforce Development Board (WDB)
  • Organizes outreach and recruitment events to increase adult learner enrollment
  • Other duties as required by programs and the District Superintendent
Job Qualifications

Requires NYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Administrator (SDL).

TEACH Clearance

Employment in positions involving direct contact with students requires clearance from the State Education Department. Formal job offer/selection is contingent upon obtaining a fingerprint security clearance through the TEACH system prior to employment.
