Qualifications

  • Experience organizing information, maintaining records, analyzing data, and using office equipment and software.
  • Experience leading and working in a team environment.

Responsabilités

  • Support the Administrative Officer I with HR hiring information and actions.
  • Support the Administrative Officer I with procurement and purchasing tasks.
  • Provide inventory management for division vehicles, office supplies, and equipment.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in person to access reports and submit information through the public portal; relay feedback for improvements.
  • Support the Agronomic Division’s Public Sector Star Safety Program.

The NCDA&CS Agronomic Services Division provides statewide diagnostic and advisory services that increase agricultural productivity, promote responsible land management, and safeguard environmental quality. The Division is comprised of three laboratory sections and a field services section with a combined total of 61 full-time employees. The Agronomic Division maintains a very active, employee-led safety program and is recognized as a Public-Sector Star site by the NC Department of Labor. The division is currently offering a great opportunity to join its administration team. As an Administrative Specialist I you will report directly to the Administrative Officer I for the Agronomic Division and work with a team of six employees. In this role, you will: • Support the Administrative Officer I as related to human resource hiring information and actions • Support the Administrative Officer I as related to procurement and purchasing • Provide inventory management of division vehicles, office supplies, and computers/copiers, scanners, etc. • Communicate with clients (phone, email, face-to-face) to help them access reports via the division’s public portal (PALS), complete online submissions and find information on our website. Based on these interactions, you will relay feedback from clients to our Webmaster for improvements.
