The Food Distribution Division contributes to the nutritional wellbeing of the citizens of North Carolina by distributing USDA foods to eligible Recipient Agencies. Food Distribution administers six food programs for USDA. This position is responsible for all administrative, fiscal, and purchasing for the Administrative Office of the Food Distribution Division under the general supervision of the division director. Duties include oversight and management of the division budget, grant administration, and purchasing. This position serves as the division’s contact regarding all financial and administrative activities. This position administers and manages all aspects of the division’s appropriated and grant budgets; is responsible for representing the division during audits performed by the State and Federal auditors; and is the primary contact with agency fiscal and budget staff. Duties involve drawing down federal funds; accounts payable; e-procurement; working with and following up with vendors; responsible for transporting bank deposits; working on procurement; assisting in maintenance of fixed assets/records; processing expense accounts; timesheet program hours; processing purchase orders; coding invoices; payroll reports and maintaining records and reports.
