The Kentucky Registry of Election Finance is an independent agency of state government, established by theLegislature to ensure fair elections by way of oversight of campaign finances. The Registry has jurisdictionover campaign finance laws for all candidates and political committees and is responsible for providing dailyguidance to those individuals and entities. The agency also provides training seminars concerning campaignfinance, receives copies of filing papers from County Clerks and the Secretary of State, serves as therepository for all required reports, and verifies that all receipts and expenditures comply with campaignfinance statutes.
The Administrative Specialist will be a skilled member of the Registry’s staff who will provide professionalsupport to the Executive Director in the review, evaluation, and implementation of Registry activities; andperform other duties as required.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
