The Administrative Services and Programs Manager is a sharedservices role between 4 programs. These include the AmericanStudies Program (AMST), the Latino Studies Program (LATS), NativeAmerican and Indigenous Studies Program (NAIS), and Asian AmericanStudies Program (AAST).

Job Summary
Department- Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as administrative services and program manager, officemanager, and assistant to the Chairs for the Programs of: AmericanStudies (AMST), Asian American Studies (AAST), Latino Studies(LATS), and Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS).
- Latino Studies, as a stand‑alone program outside of AmericanStudies, will require that the position pay particular attention toprogramming and budgeting for this unit during the 2026‑2027AY.
- This position requires the program manager to be basedphysically in the LATS office.
- Serves as the public face of the Latino Studies Program at itsmain office and at recruiting events.
- Manages all programs; handles administrative and enrollmentactivities at undergraduate levels; plans and coordinates facultytravel and events for all units; and includes faculty personnelassistance.
- Establishes, interprets, and modifies program policies andoperating procedures. Provides transaction processing and otherfinancial administrative support as dictated by program needs andunder the direction of the Fiscal Officer.
- Assists in implementing initiatives. Represents the programs atvarious meetings.
- Understand the Chairpersons¿ goals and the mission of theprograms; implement chairs¿ goals. Advise and assist the Chairswith University, College and Departmental policies and proceduresand assure that appropriate procedures are followed.
- Collaborates with team members to develop program objectivesand create policies to meet them. Coordinates program operationwith all collaborative units.
- Monitors progress and maintains all necessary data bases.
- Actively recruits program participants and researches newvenues and methods of recruitment.
- May provide guidance to support and temporary staff andcoordinates workflow for the program.
- Researches available grants and assists creating fundingproposals that further advance support of the program. Writes grantreports.
- Administers program budgets.

- Coordinates and delivers community outreach activities,educational programs, workshops, and engagement initiatives insupport of established program objectives.
- Applies knowledge of outreach and engagement practices tocommunicate program information and educational content tocommunity audiences in accessible and effective ways.
- Establishes and maintains productive working relationships withcommunity organizations, participants, and university partners tosupport outreach and engagement efforts.
- Assists in identifying community needs, interests, andopportunities for engagement and provides input regarding programimprovements and outreach strategies.
- Develops, adapts, and distributes educational materials,presentations, communications, and outreach resources for a variety of audiences.
- Facilitates outreach activities, informational sessions, andeducational experiences in virtual, in‑person, and hybridenvironments.
- Monitors participant engagement and program activities,exercising judgment to address routine issues and ensure positiveparticipant experiences.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes program feedback,participation data, and other relevant information to supportassessment and continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinates program logistics, schedules, communications, andoperational activities to ensure effective and efficient outreachdelivery.
- Ensures outreach activities are conducted in accordance withuniversity policies, procedures, accessibility requirements, andapplicable program standards.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functionswith or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$50,000 to $52,000 annually.
