The Office of Motor Vehicles Administrative Program Specialist B coordinates statewide Property Control, Fleet, and Safety Programs under the Project Management Office (PMO). Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with a focus on compliance with state civil service rules.
The Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) performs functions of the state relative to the examination and licensing of operators of motor vehicles, the suspension and revocation of such licenses, issuance of vehicle title and registration certificates, license plates for all motor vehicles operated upon the highways of the state, recordation of liens against vehicles, and the collection of sales/use tax and other appropriate fees, all in accordance with applicable laws.
The Office of Motor Vehicles Administrative Program Specialist B is responsible for coordinating and managing OMV’s statewide Property Control, Fleet, and Safety Programs. The position develops, implements, and revises necessary procedures for all areas of focus under the supervision of the Statewide Program Manager 1 in the Project Management Office (PMO). The incumbent of this position should have knowledge of the OTS billing and the property inventory processes, including use of LaGov. The incumbent of this position should also have broad knowledge of the Louisiana Property Assistance Agency. Necessary qualities include efficiency, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, proactivity, and the ability to work independently.
