The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Program Specialist B to support statewide operations in transportation, property management, and risk-management functions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in organization, compliance, and coordinating high-volume administrative processes across multiple facilities and regional offices.
In this position, you’ll help ensure accurate fleet and property records, support statewide inventory and certification processes, assist with claims and reporting, and maintain strong communication with state partners and agency leadership. You’ll also contribute to policy implementation, staff training, and the overall efficiency of OJJ’s administrative systems.

Four years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Oversees statewide fleet operations for 200+ vehicles, including compliance monitoring, log audits, maintenance coordination, and vehicle procurement/surplus actions.
Manages property control for 2,580+ tagged items across secure care facilities and regional offices, ensuring accurate tagging, inventory, certifications, and LPAA compliance.
Audits facility and regional entries in Protégé and asset management systems, correcting errors and ensuring statewide accuracy.
Coordinates external audits with LPAA, OSP, OLA, and other regulatory agencies for fleet, property, and warehouse operations.
Provides statewide training to staff on fleet, property, purchasing, and risk-management procedures.
Manages warehouse and inventory systems including file maintenance, certification documentation, and surplus transfers.
Processes risk-management claims by gathering documentation, coordinating with adjusters, tracking payments, and submitting quarterly exposure reports.
Handles purchasing needs for fleet-related goods and services, ensuring compliance with procurement rules and 156b requisition requirements.
Acts as liaison with LPAA, ORM, DMV, private insurers, auditors, vendors, and agency leadership to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
Maintains regulatory expertise by studying laws, attending trainings, updating procedures, and supporting internal training programs.
