Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in an optometric or health care setting desired.
• Graduate of two-year optometric technician program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of practice management software.
• HIPAA knowledge and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process, stock, restock and tag frames for display.
• Tray eyewear jobs accurately and efficiently; enter invoice data, dispensing fees and insurance into Compulink.
• Greet patients and escort them to the appropriate area; introduce them to interns or opticians.
• Answer phones, check voicemail, and return messages; conduct eyewear notifications and scheduling.
• Monitor ophthalmic supplies and communicate with labs; track ophthalmic material orders and resale items.
