The technician is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and organized traying of eyewear jobs, as well as the precise entry of invoice data, dispensing fees, and insurance information into Compulink. A thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle confidential patient information is essential.Additionally, the technician assists in tracking ophthalmic material orders and communicates effectively with labs. They warmly greet patients, escort them to the appropriate area, and coordinate introductions to interns or opticians. The role includes answering phones, checking voicemail, returning messages, conducting eyewear notifications, and scheduling dispenses and selections as well as monitoring and ordering ophthalmic supplies and resale items.The technician works closely with supervisors and other college personnel to meet business and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistent delivery of quality care.
