Job summary

University of Missouri-St. Louis Joint Engineering Program is seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide comprehensive program, financial, HR, and administrative support for the Joint Engineering Program and related externally supported engineering initiatives.

The role ensures timely billing, reporting, and communications, coordinating with leadership, student employees, sponsors, and technical teams to maintain a student-centered, industry-connected environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provides program, financial, human resources, and administrative support for the Joint Engineering Program and related initiatives.
  • Ensures student employment processes, sponsor billing, reporting, and stakeholder communications are completed accurately and timely.
  • Serves as an operational liaison among program leadership, student employees, sponsors, technical teams, Sponsored Programs, and other internal partners.

Job Description

The Joint Engineering Program Operations Coordinator providesprogram, financial, human resources, and administrative support forthe UMSL / WashU Joint Engineering Program and related externallysupported engineering initiatives. The position helps ensure thatprogram activities, student employment processes, sponsor billing,reporting, and stakeholder communications are completed accurately,timely, and in alignment with program priorities, fundingrequirements, and university practices. The role serves as a keyoperational liaison among program leadership, student employees,sponsors, technical teams, Sponsored Programs, and other internalpartners while supporting a student-centered and industry-connectedengineering environment.

Shift

30-hours per week Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledgeand skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, andcomfort using Adobe, Teams, Zoom, and other administrative orprogram systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintainaccurate records, and communicate clearly with internal andexternal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborativelywhile maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and strong customerservice.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Min-Midpoint is $19.25/hour - $27.40/hour
