Job Description

The Advanced Workforce Center (AWC) at the University ofMissouri–St. Louis is a hub for professional and continuingeducation focused on advancing workforce development and regionaleconomic growth. Through partnerships with employers, government,and community organizations, AWC delivers flexible, high-qualitytraining programs that equip individuals with in-demand skills,support career advancement, and help organizations remaincompetitive.

The Program Coordinator for the Advanced Workforce Center(AWC) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery ofnon-credit workforce training programs, including bootcamps,certifications, and professional development offerings. The roleensures effective program execution, enrollment operations, andparticipant support to drive learner success and programgrowth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Coordination & Delivery – 30%
  • Coordinate the implementation of non-credit courses, bootcamps,and certificate programs
  • Support scheduling and logistics including instructors,classrooms, and instructional technologies
  • Assist with in-person, hybrid, and live-virtual programdelivery
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day program operations and learnerexperience
  • Manage and process invoices for vendors, corporate clients, andworkforce partners, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, andcompliance with university procedures
Enrollment & Participant Support – 30%
  • Support enrollment processes including registration workflows andparticipant onboarding
  • Maintain communication with prospective and enrolledparticipants
  • Provide customer-focused support to enhance retention and programcompletion
  • Assist with learner inquiries, program details, andscheduling
Operations, Systems & Data Tracking – 20%
  • Maintain accurate program and enrollment records
  • Support CRM and enrollment systems functionality andupdates
  • Track and report on enrollment, participation, and programoutcomes
  • Assist with data-driven improvements to processes andworkflows
Collaboration & Program Development – 15%
  • Partner with marketing to support recruitment and outreachefforts
  • Collaborate with instructors and leadership to align programswith workforce needs
  • Assist in updating and refining program offerings and deliverymodels
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and scalabilityinitiatives
Administrative & Miscellaneous – 5%
  • Perform general administrative duties and documentation
  • Participate in meetings and cross-functional coordination
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in an office and educational deliveryenvironment with regular interaction with students, instructors,and internal stakeholders. The role requires extended periods ofcomputer use, coordination of multiple tasks, and occasionalmovement between classrooms or training spaces. The positioninvolves sustained attention to detail, problem-solving, andcommunication across various audiences.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervisory responsibilities: may coordinate work ofinstructors or support staff as needed

40 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledgeand skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

$19.25 - $26.45
