Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency is seeking an Administrative Officer 4 to strengthen emergency response systems and support programs, partnerships, and standards that safeguard residents during daily operations and major events.

The role oversees 911 program planning, training, compliance, and funding across the Commonwealth, coordinating with stakeholders, monitoring standards, and ensuring statewide service levels.

Qualifications

• One year as Administrative Officer 3 or six years of experience in progressively responsible office management or staff work, including budgeting or procurement; and a four-year college degree or equivalent training.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program standards for training, certification, and QA for emergency communication staff.
• Develop inspection processes, review certification reports, and confirm Public Safety Answering Point compliance.
• Provide statewide support, audits, and guidance on 911 QA, training, and operations.
• Evaluate county 911 system plans and ensure alignment with agency requirements and reporting standards.
• Review grants, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with statewide objectives.
• Perform assigned duties during emergencies, including extended or modified schedules.
