The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Administrative Officer 1 for the Bureau of Food and Nutrition. This role involves overseeing administrative compliance with Child Nutrition Programs, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient operations within the department. As an Administrative Officer 1 for the Bureau of Food and Nutrition, you will be responsible for administering and complying with federally mandated Child Nutrition Program requirements that are consistent among all eight of the programs administered by the Bureau. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support for the Bureau and Division Chiefs. In addition, this professional supervises and directs the work of two clerical employees who provide staff support for approximately sixty-five permanent Food and Nutrition employees. Work involves executing the process for existing Child Nutrition Program sponsors with changes of address, Federal ID numbers, and banking numbers to ensure there is no interruption with reimbursements from Child Nutrition Programs. This includes intra-and interagency collaboration and coordination of information with other offices in PDE, as well as the Office of Budget. You will direct the day-to-day activities and workload associated with reviewing new sponsor application paperwork/documents, CN PEARS/COMPASS support, and CN PEARS user management. Key to this position is ensuring staff is providing timely and positive customer service, responding to inquiries appropriately, and triaging and directing inquiries to program areas as appropriate.
