Palm Academy is seeking an organized and energetic Administrative Support & Floater Teacher to join our team. This role blends administrative duties, kitchen tasks, classroom support, and general school operations to keep daily activities running smoothly.

The ideal candidate balances multitasking with a positive, professional attitude, can lift up to 40 pounds, and holds a valid California driver’s license. College coursework is a plus; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• Experience in childcare, preschool, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform active duties.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Must be able to pass all required background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Duties: Maintain and organize student and staff files; assist with filing, record keeping, and office organization; support enrollment, attendance, and general office operations; answer phones, greet families, and assist visitors; assist with copying, scanning, data entry, and administrative projects.
• Kitchen & Food Service: Prepare and serve snacks and lunches; maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food prep areas; follow food safety guidelines.
• Classroom Support: Provide teachers break coverage; step into classrooms to maintain ratios and supervision; assist with classroom activities and daily routines; support children in a caring manner.
• School Operations: Drive for school-related errands; assist with supplies and inventory; support events and field trips; help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
