UCP of Central Florida is seeking a Teacher Assistant-Floater to support PreK-12 students across campuses and programs in Central Florida. The floater role shifts based on daily needs rather than a single classroom assignment, assisting teachers with instruction and progress tracking.

The position emphasizes adaptability, classroom support, and ongoing professional development, within a nonprofit setting offering competitive benefits and opportunities to grow in education and therapy services.

Qualifications

• G.E.D. or High School Diploma.
• DCF 45 hour within 90 days of hire if doing after care/summer or camp.
• CRP/First Aid Training.

Responsibilities

• Implements lesson plan including instructional groups per teacher’s direction.
• Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom.
• Assist in administering assessments/progress monitoring.
• Document academic progress through observations and data collection.
• Maintain classroom management and behavior techniques with data collection.
• Perform paraprofessional duties in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Attend required trainings, meetings and events.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and guidelines set by governing agencies.
• Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (changing of students, keeping classroom clean).

Education
