The Administrative Coordinator 4 position in Baton Rouge supports the Louisiana Department of Education’s Operations Division, handling contracts, procurement, records management, and technology-enabled process improvements.
Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in administrative services, strong spreadsheet skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset to ensure compliance with state Civil Service rules and agency policies.
The Operational Support Services team provides targeted internal support to the Louisiana Department of Education focusing on the internal operations of the state agency. The Administrative Coordinator 4 will provide support to the team and agency in areas such as contracts and procurement, use of technology to improve processes and agency efficiency, and records management. This team member should have a supportive, problem solving, critical thinking mind set and should be ready to pivot and support the agency when a need arises.
The Administrative Coordinator 4 should have experience in complex spreadsheet formula writing and in critically analyzing a technical problem and developing a solution for the problem.
Three years of experience in administrative services.
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Appointment Type: Job Appointment. This position will be filled as a temporary job appointment that may last up to 4 years. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group
Work Schedule: Workdays are Monday - Friday; work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
