  • Reviews, classifies, and images documents by type to ensure accurate processing and timely access by appropriate staff.
  • Files and archives correspondence and supporting documentation according to established procedures.
  • Routes electronic and hard-copy documents for attachment to individual Medicaid member cases and accounts.
  • Ensures processed documents and correspondence are transmitted to member accounts accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Prepares and sends outbound correspondence requesting confidential information from Medicaid members and potential members.
  • Provides timely administrative support in resolving Medicaid-related correspondence and issues, helping ensure members receive eligibility decisions within required timeframes.

Job description

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.

As an Administrative Coordinator 4, you’ll play a vital role in processing correspondence, organizing and imaging important documents, and ensuring information reaches member accounts accurately and on time. Your attention to detail will help resolve member issues, support timely eligibility decisions, and ensure Louisiana Medicaid members receive the assistance they need.

An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:
  • Accepting Direction: The ability to be open and willing to follow guidance or instructions.
  • Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to take ownership of actions, behaviors, performance, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Managing Resources: The ability to manage financial, physical, and contractual resources to ensure compliance and maximize business value.

Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
