The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of advanced office/administrative support duties that require thorough knowledge of a function or functions within a department or work unit. Under general supervision, with direction received from the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs or Dean of the College of Medicine, and department supervisor or manager. Performs varied and responsible secretarial, office management, and administrative work, involving responsibility, complexity, and variety. Controls workflow and established office procedures in support of the Office of Academic Affairs. Uses independent judgment and initiative in carrying out regular assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position may be responsible for monitoring business affairs and interpreting policy and procedures. This position serves as the liaison between the College of Medicine Departments, Hospital, and other divisions within the University. Reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
