Position Summary

The Senior Administrative Assistant acts as a liaison and provides proficient administrative support to the designated department and/or senior leaders. This role requires working independently within established procedures and includes responsibilities such as:

  1. Screen calls and respond to or route routine inquiries from internal or external sources with appropriate messaging.
  2. Greet and direct visitors.
  3. Maintain and schedule appointment calendars.
  4. Handle various forms of mail (paper, email, overnight express, fax).
  5. Order office supplies and furnishings.
  6. Arrange for equipment repairs.
  7. Maintain filing systems and computerized record-keeping systems or databases.
  8. Complete standardized forms.
  9. Create and prepare presentations for meetings.
  10. Handle confidential correspondence and inter-department communications.
  11. Attend meetings and take minutes.
  12. Compose correspondence on behalf of the Senior Director and Directors supported.
  13. Support onboarding for new hires and internal transfers as needed.
  14. Manage and coordinate department policies and oversee the review process.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least three years of experience in a general office setting or one year with specialized training/certification in administrative professional fields.
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

The salary range is competitive and based on market data, considering skills, education, experience, and organizational needs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Night, weekend, or on-call work may qualify for shift differentials or premium pay. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of health assessments, drug screening, background checks, and verification of employment eligibility.
