Job Overview

A Fort Wayne area insurance firm is looking for a full-time administrative assistant/Office Manager. Our office provides a close-knit, collaborative culture.

Primary Administrative Duties:
  • A large part of your day will be interacting with our clients, both in-person and over-the-phone, so this is perfect for someone with an enthusiastic, positive, professional personality. Our clients love us and depend on our guidance, confidentiality, and our true desire to help them.
  • Process new business cases and manage them until completion. This includes the completion of applications, submitting them, and working with carriers to ensure favorable approval.
  • Sort and deliver the incoming and in-house mail/communications.
  • Schedule and maintain staff’s calendars.
  • Complete applications and paperwork accurately. This is an area you can use your outstanding attention to detail to ensure the process goes smoothly for our clients.
  • Process service requests from clients - your willingness to go above and beyond in customer service will help you to excel in this task.
  • Communicate with external companies - we treat our affiliates and business partners with the same respect we do our clients so this is another area you can utilize your excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • We’re a small company so we have some manual processes, but also use industry-specific software, Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), so you’ll need to be comfortable with technology.
  • No day is exactly the same, so there may be times that you work on special projects as well.
Qualifications:

We would like to have someone who has a minimum of 3 years experience in an office environment with database management, use of electronic office equipment, administration, and management of day-to-day office function responsibilities.

Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

Compensation:

Salary based on experience, bonuses can be achieved based on performance. No Health Insurance Offered. (Can assist with acquiring Health Insurance if needed.) Paid Holidays. Vacation pay earned after 6 months.
