Job Title: Entry-Level Administrative Assistant – Commercial Underwriting Support

Location: Downtown Worcester

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $23-$25 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Assistant to support our Commercial Underwriting team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional environment with a focus on financial and underwriting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the commercial underwriting and accounting departments
  • Record incoming checks and maintain accurate financial logs
  • Process outgoing payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Update and maintain vendor and customer records in internal systems
  • Review client and vendor files to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets for tracking financial and operational data
  • Assist with paying vendors and managing accounts payable documentation

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus
  • 1+ year of office, finance, or administrative experience preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
