The Department of Integrated Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering is seeking a Center Administrative Assistant to provide advanced administrative and operational support to the Center for Industrial Metal Forming (CIMF) and Center Director. This position serves as a primary administrative point of contact for CIMF and coordinates a broad range of activities involving Center leadership, industry members, university partners, sponsoring agencies, research sites, and other stakeholders.
The Center Administrative Assistant independently manages and coordinates administrative activities that support the efficient operation of CIMF. Responsibilities include scheduling and facilitating meetings and events, maintaining Center records and documentation, coordinating communications, supporting financial and membership activities, assisting with reporting requirements, preparing materials and correspondence, and tracking administrative deadlines and deliverables.
The position exercises independent judgment in organizing work, managing competing priorities, coordinating complex activities, and ensuring that Center operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. In addition to core administrative responsibilities, the position provides specialized support for CIMF programs and activities, including National Science Foundation (NSF) reporting and requirements, Industry Advisory Board (IAB) activities, industry membership agreements, project reporting, newsletters and technical communications, marketing materials, and coordination with Sponsored Programs and other university offices.
Required: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience maintaining records, databases, websites, or document management systems. Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, industry representatives, sponsoring agencies, and senior leadership.
Pay rate: $21.59-28.00/hr. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
