Dayton Superior is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support assigned departments with clerical tasks, reporting, and document management. The role involves coordinating meetings, travel, and department activities, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
The candidate should have 2–5 years of experience, HS diploma or GED, and strong organizational and communication skills, plus familiarity with Microsoft Office in a team-oriented environment.

Responsible for a wide range of administrative and clerical support to assigned departments. Functions involve the preparation of various reports, the analysis of reports with recommended actions, and the supervision and/or monitoring of work activities within the group, department, or office. Duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information.
Supports the manager by maintaining records, files, reports, and other documentation required for operations.
Schedules and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities for all members of the department.
Masters the creation, management, and utilization of database templates. Expertly produce general correspondence, polished memos, and professional business documents.
Proofreads copies for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate corrections.
Provides standard and specialized reports for the manager using a variety of documents and files.
Provides feedback to management that will assist in the improvement of operations.
Involves a high degree of interaction with other departments, both internal and external.
Ensures all documents associated with activities are complete and accurate.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Knowledge of various business technologies, including Microsoft Office, along with strong technical documentation skills.
Must have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Associate's degree with administrative skills from a business school preferred.
Self starter with excellent organizational & communication skills.
