A well-established and growing private equity firm in Chicago is looking for a sharp, enthusiastic, and highly organized Front Office Administrative Assistant to join its dynamic team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious administrative professional eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This role offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team, support key business functions, and contribute meaningfully to the firm’s success. This role is in office 4 days a week and offers a competitive salary of $65,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to medical and dental insurance as well as generous PTO.

Key Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

  • Provide responsive and reliable administrative support to investment professionals and operational staff
  • Provide front desk support by greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, and coordinating deliveries
  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and organize conference and video calls
  • Draft, edit, and format professional documents, reports, and presentations
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process timely, accurate expense reports
  • Support meeting logistics and assist with occasional internal event planning
  • Maintain organized filing systems and up-to-date contact databases
  • Communicate with vendors and external partners as needed
  • Take initiative on special projects and assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications of the Administrative Assistant:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a corporate or professional services setting
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with scheduling platforms and expense tools is a plus
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and a high degree of professionalism
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
