Job Responsibilities
  • Completes tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions of the running of a TB clinic
  • Greet clients and visitors and provide excellent customer service
  • Answer telephones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Obtain confidential client information and accurately
  • Enter data into both EHR and SendSS computer systems in accordance with TB policies and procedures
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate client records
  • File and maintain records in accordance with program and agency requirements including ALA; Assists clients with intake process
  • Verifying insurance, discussing fees and completing necessary forms and documentation
  • Collect, review and process required paperwork including follow-up coordination with a high level of accuracy
  • Utilize basic math skills to perform program-related calculations and ensure accurate data entry; Maintain detailed filing and recordkeeping systems
  • Work effectively in a team environment with quickly changing priorities as set by supervisor
  • Once trained, perform TST as delegated
  • Assist with ordering of supplies and ensuring all expiration dates are current
  • Uses independent judgement and initiative to perform administrative, clerical and secretarial duties in support of the TB Clinic
  • Assist with pulling reports from 13 counties and preparing GIA report
  • Perform DOT and site visits when assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED AND two years of general office or administrative experience

Under the pre-employment fitness-for-duty this position is considered a

  • Category 1: Sedentary

Primarily involves light physical work with minimal unusual working conditions. Examples include administrative roles, management, and HR specialists.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
