Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks a Switchboard/Receptionist to act as the first face for District 58, handling calls, visitor greeting, and basic accounting tasks. The role includes logging complaints, creating vendor payment documents, auditing forms, and maintaining copy machines.
Full-time weekdays with compensation not less than $13.77/hour. Two years in administrative services preferred; experience substitution via college hours applies.
This position operates the switchboard and serves as the "first face" for District 58 to visitors/customers in the front receptionist area, creating and maintaining an atmosphere of professional friendliness and helpfulness. The switchboard operator records calls and complaints into the DOTD log system. This position also has accounting duties, such as creating documents for payment to vendors and auditing documents, reports, and forms for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, the switchboard operator is responsible for maintaining the copy machines.
Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
