DOTD-Engineering & Operations seeks a position to supervise construction inspectors and report to the Project Engineer. You will lead a team handling inspection, surveying and testing across diverse construction projects and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
The role requires strong field judgment, the ability to work with contractors, and solid calculations for areas, weights and volumes on bridge and roadway work.

The overall function of this position is to assist the Project Engineer by supervising a team of construction inspectors engaged in construction inspection duties and reports directly to Engineer 6, Project Engineer. The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties with or without minimal supervision and also be able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise. The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs as appropriate and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks.
