Position Summary and Responsibilities

We are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. The Adjunct Teacher will work from a home office, managing subject-specific instructional programs. Compensation depends on course workload and enrollment. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, evaluating work, conducting online instructional sessions, providing academic guidance, and serving as a subject-matter expert for a caseload of K-12 students. The role requires work during regular school hours and outside these hours, utilizing telephone, Internet, and curriculum tools to communicate with learning coaches and students to support successful completion of instructional programs.

The Adjunct Teacher will be responsible for:

• Communicating with parents/learning coaches, students, and other teachers via phone, WebMail, discussions, and conferencing;
• Instructing students, monitoring work, providing feedback, and suggesting instructional strategies;
• Monitoring assignment completion;
• Scoring assessments and projects;
• Coordinating with advisory teachers and counselors, reporting issues, and managing communication schedules;
• Conducting online tutorial and instructional sessions using conferencing software;
• Developing detailed knowledge of the curriculum for which responsible;
• Providing additional support and strategies for struggling students and parents;
• Completing required training sessions;
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Art in Utah, appropriate to the grade level and responsibilities;
• Utah residency preferred; priority given to Utah residents;
• Candidates from surrounding states (Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming) are encouraged to apply;
• Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
