Job Title: Sociology Adjunct Faculty - SOC 329 Medical Sociology

Position Start Date:7 August 2025 (classes begin 2 September 2025)

Required Degree:PhD in Sociology.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: Prior experience teaching university classes required.

Duties/Expectations:

  • The BYU Sociology Department invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position to teach SOC 329: Medical Sociology in Fall Semester 2025, and must be taught in person during the length of the semester.
  • The class is scheduled for TTh from 4:00-5:15pm.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating student learning, maintaining timely and effective communication, and holding office hours to support student success.
  • Adjunct faculty are also expected to collaborate with department faculty and office staff as needed.
