Job Description

Full time 12 month nursing education faculty member for the Nursing program on the ASU‑Searcy campus. Will teach all phases of the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing programs, supervise clinical practice, oversee adjunct instructors as needed, and contribute to related health courses and evening/weekend activities. The faculty member will plan an optimal learning environment, provide high quality instruction and advising, participate in the development and assessment of learning outcomes, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review lesson plans.
2. Present lesson plans to students.
3. Administer and grade tests and student assignments.
4. Advise students.
5. Supervise students in all aspects of clinical education.
6. Work closely with supervisor regarding teaching materials.
7. Order supplies needed to teach required material.
8. Resolve problems with materials presented.
9. Supervise clinical student care and make assignments according to knowledge level.
10. Calculate student grades.
11. Collaborate with faculty and administration on curriculum development, revision, and updates.
12. Attend faculty and department meetings, division meetings, and advisory meetings.
13. Travel to other ASU‑Beebe campuses and clinical sites for teaching and meetings.
14. Assist students with invasive procedures performed on clients at clinical sites.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in Arkansas; Associate’s Degree in Nursing; and willing to work flexible hours including weekends.

Salary
