Job summary

After six months, some roles may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement based on responsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, and Dallas College policy. Academic positions require on-campus presence, even when teaching online courses, per state law.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline for credit courses.
• Three years of direct or related work experience for workforce education courses.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the specific teaching discipline with demonstrated competency.
• Official transcripts required at interview.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
• Subject to criminal background and fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Participates in evaluating instructional processes to improve learning.
• Revises curricula and selects books and materials for the discipline.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Advises and assists with student registration; uses tech to access data and communicate.
• Participates in committees, college events, and professional development.
