Job summary

Dallas College seeks faculty members for on-site teaching roles across disciplines. After six months, some positions may qualify for a hybrid schedule based on responsibilities and policy. Academic positions require on-campus presence, even for online courses, in accordance with Texas law.

Teaches assigned classes effectively and maintains office hours for student consultation; participates in committees and college initiatives to support student success and program development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline is required for credit courses.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the teaching discipline is required for developmental courses or equivalent.
• Three years of direct or related work experience (not teaching) for workforce education courses.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Evaluates the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to improve learning.
• Supports discipline by revising curricula and recommending teaching assignments.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Works with colleagues to meet goals and participate in division planning.
• Demonstrates ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively.
