Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or eligibility to obtain.
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience.
  • Teaching experience in a postsecondary or clinical setting preferred.
  • Online instruction experience preferred; bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation.
  • Develops and updates course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Evaluates student performance and uses diverse teaching strategies to promote learning.
  • Maintains accurate course records and participates in assessment activities.
  • Promotes student engagement and provides guidance for registration and advising.
  • Complies with Dallas College policies and participates in college committees as needed.
